![]() ![]() I've done some research on this forum and elsewhere regarding install. I have not done a lot of work on cars before, but am generally handy, no real electronic work. I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado WT with a shell on the back. Also I live in a cold climate negative 20 to 30 above F during the winter, so wondering if anyone has any experience with that? Quick view on a phone would be nice, but not necessary. Would like something that tucks away nicely and doesnt hinder view. So far ive looked into the Rexing cams (seem to be lots of models) and Vivofo A119/129. Lastly, I was wondering if there were any recommendations for a good dash cam. ![]() ![]() Alternatively I could mount it to the rear cabin window and just get poor quality video through the shell windows, or perhaps rear isnt neccesary? Has anyone done this with a camper shell on the back? I'm wondering how I could route the wire outside of the cabin, into the bed, and then mount it to the rear window on the shell in such a way that it is okay with frequent opening and closing of the window. Secondly I am thinking about getting a rear view cam as well. Am I to understand that to hardwire the camera, you basically just plug one of the fuse kits into the proper fuse (which I understand is F29 for switched) and then just run the wire behind the wire stripping and headliner up to the mirror? Am I missing something, or is it really that simple? Hi all, new account, but I have been lurking around the forums for some time, I hope im posting this in the right spot. ![]()
